JavaScript - Copyright notice.

Post by timenetza »

Hi,
I just installed WB17 and trying out some of the free templates provided.
One question, please.
When using the Jingles template, I add footer1 from the "Blocks" section and, in footer1, I add the JavaScript: Copyright Notice.
I change the following options:
text -> centered
start date -> 2021
Name: Acme Designers

Then, when running it in local browser or publishing it to a test webserver, no copyright notice is displayed in footer.

When using the Neon template, however, with the exact settings (footer, Javascript), the copyright notice is displayed in local browser/test webserver.

Why would that be?

Thanks.

It is difficult to help you without seeing what you have done.
Do you have a demo?

Hi Pablo,
Thanks a million for the prompt response.

Would you like me to send the .wbs file or do you want me to publish it on a public server?

Thanks.

To be able to help you, I need a DEMO project so I can see all your settings.

Note: I do not need the complete project because that will only take more time to figure out what you have done.
Basically, I just need a small project with one page and object(s) that are relevant to your question.

Please see this FAQ for further details:

Great stuff.
I will upload shortly.

This is the other test I performed about an hour ago.
1. installed stock/clean Jingles template (without adding my content etc)
2. Replaced only ObjectID: Text7 (in ObjectID:LayoutGrid6) with Copyright Notice JavaScript - copyright still not displaying in browser/server.
3. Closed that project and started new Jingles template
3. Added JavaScript next to your template's Text7 - only displays your template's Text7.

Did the same steps on the with the Neon template - JavaScript display notice 100%

Maybe you could simulate it on your side?

Thanks

There is most likely a conflict in the HTML settings: Tools -> Options -> HTML
Most of these scripts are third party scripts. Some of them may not work if you use enable HTML formatting or use other advanced features.

Try setting everything to default in Tools -> Options -> HTML

Thanks a million, Pablo.

Solved it in the Jingles template by enabling;
Options -> HTML -> (JavaScript section) "Move JavaScripts to the end of the page"
It displays Copyright Notice 100% now.
Tested some of the other JavaScripts and they're displayed correctly. (in place as well)
So, happiness.

In the Neon template that setting is Off, but Copyright is shown.

That'll do it for me.

Thanks for your excellent support/feedback.
Appreciated.
