Master page

Post by spd54 »

Stupid question and I think I know what the answer will be but here goes. If you have made the master page the default can you stop it being the default.
And one last one hopefully I assume you can have more than 1 master page as long as none are a default master.
Thanks

I think you may have misunderstood the purpose of a "Master Page". It's primary use is to allow you to add the likes of a Navigation, Header, Footer and other objects in one place that can then be used in other pages without you having to add these individually to each page.
This means that if you need to make any changes to the "Master Page" then it will be applied to the pages you have placed it on. It might be best to read the following to get a better understanding.

How to use Master Pages?
https://www.wysiwygwebbuilder.com/master_page.html
How to use Embedded Pages
https://www.wysiwygwebbuilder.com/embedded_page.html
How to use Master Frames?
https://www.wysiwygwebbuilder.com/master_frame.html
And one last one hopefully I assume you can have more than 1 master page
You can have as many "Master Pages' as you like but you can only use one per page. The second link provided describes "Embedded Pages" when using this then you can use more than once per page.
