Is "Mega Menu" Responsive?

Post by etcbbu »

Hi all,

Is the default-included "Mega Menu" Object Responsive? I've got a client's site that, I *think* is going to need to be a tertiary-level menu, and for that matter, quite a wide First-Level menu. So I'm needing a large Menu with advanced sub-link capabilities--like I say, into a tertiary-level territory. Is it Responsive?

If it isn't, anyone have any suggestions on accomplishing a large menu across sites that do have 4 Breakpoints (1366, 1024, 768, and 320) ?

The mega menu is responsive, it does support a mobile/hamburger mode.
Alternatively, you can try this:

Why isn't the Hamburger graphic showing as the menu, here

https://www.innovativesolutionsservices.com/

?

Should be at the top of the page, but it's just a little white square..?

To be able to help you, I need a DEMO project so I can see all your settings.

Note: I do not need the complete project because that will only take more time to figure out what you have done.
Basically, I just need a small project with one page and object(s) that are relevant to your question.

Please see this FAQ for further details:

Pablo,

Thanks for taking a look; here's the .WBS file with the index.php page only:

https://innovativesolutionsservices.com/proj.zip

Please let me know when you grab this, so I can delete it off my web-space.

Sorry, but I cannot load your project. It uses third party extensions.

Please read the FAQ before sharing your project.

Here's is how to fix this:
- Open the properties of the menu
- Click "Mega Menu' tab
- Go to section 'Style Item'
- Select Background mode -> Solid
- Click background color, to open the drop down, set the alpha value to '0'
- Select Background mode -> Transparent
- Click OK

@Pablo,

Thanks for posting. That helped the animation get better. but now, when I have tried to incorporate those changes, look at what's going on now:

https://www.innovativesolutionsservices.com/

If you look at it on a smartphone, the menu doesn't actually "pop up" with links of page-choices, which I set it to do. It works fine on 768-pixels and above. But, seems like at Breakpoint 760 and below, when you tap the menu to launch it, it just disappears.

Here's the project-file again:

Ok, I need some advice, then; because at the moment, I really just want a singular-level navigation, whereby, it's just the first-level links

- "About"
- "Mobile Fuel Polishing"
- "Fuel Additives and Treatments"
- "Fuel Services"
- "Fuel and Tank Filtration"
- "Links"
- "Contact Us"

So, I'd hate to have what I had before, which is where I set these links' in the Object Properties "Menu Layout" as "Simple Menu", and then it ends up, say, I have one of the links on there, called

"Fuel Services"

and when you click/tap it, the option that comes down is also "Fuel Services", and you click/tap that to actually get to the page. Doesn't look good when the value on the clickable=element itself is, say "Page 1", and then the sub-menu choice that drops down under it is just *also* "Page 1", and it takes you to the page when you click that sub-menu item.

I'd really rather just a sort of basic menu right *now* for all these pages. And then eventually, I ill be adding secondary and tertiary "levels" to the menu (which is why I need the Mega Menu object, in the first place) .

The Mega menu was not designed for this purpose.
Maybe you can use the Responsive menu or Themable menu?

Or else:
