site search miscellany tool

Post by johnwayne »

the site search tool, when added to a page.. going to the button's event, the selected javascript is searchPage();
what actually gets performed (which logically matches the tool name) is a search of the current web folder the page is within, encompassing said page and all other neighboring pages in the same directory.

Is there a tool, or option of this tool, to restrict the search to said page only? Much like 'Ctrl+F' (which unfortunately cannot be invoked by a page in the browser).

I may go with this script https://www.seabreezecomputers.com/tips/find6.htm if there is nothing readily available.

Thanks in advance.

There is no standard solution for a single page search. The 'site search' includes all pages that were indexed.
Note that you can configure each page individually. So, you can disable search for all page except one.
