In 'Multi-page properties, you can change the master page / master frame for multiple pages.

I don not want to change the master pages, I want to remove all the master pages.

Go to multi page properties, select all pages, click on the properties tab and scroll down. You will see 'enable master frame'. Try setting that to false and see what happens.

It's not something I have tried, but it may be what you need.
