ok thanks
but this I know
the question is not a normal backup...

I don't have the *.wps file on the computer any more.. so I cannot upload a new version so that the old will be backuped...

I just need to get downloaded what is on the server... to get a new *.wps file to continue with the work on my computer...

If you no longer have the wbs project file then you can try to use 'import HTML'.
However, this will not recover the complete website.

This might be worth a try - really depends how complex your website is.

Create a new local folder.

Use an ftp program such as 'Filezilla' (or similar) to copy all files from your web host server into your new folder on your local PC/Laptop.

Open WYSIWYG and as Pablo says - use 'Import HTML' to load all the pages into your new project. As you have downloaded everything from the server then all your images should be there and the page(s) displayed correctly. Bear in mind when you use 'Import HTML' that the default is to show ONLY html files. This is fine if that's all you have but if you have any 'PHP' pages then change the drop down to 'All Files' then you will see the PHP pages as well to import.

I am sure there will be some tidying up to do, especially if you had any break points or more complex pages, but its a start.

With nothing to lose its worth a try .......
