WWB - Multiple instances crash

Post by Sergio Morais » Thu Jun 21, 2018 1:16 pm

Hi,

I have recently upgraded from v11 to v.14 and have come across an issue. I have always enjoyed having 2 instances of WWB open in order to facilitate copy/paste operations of objects.

It turns out that since the update, it is frequent to have one instance present the "grinding wheel" and then close sporadically while working. This happens randomly; sometimes upon closing the project, other times while saving, etc. I have not been able to put a finger on it.

Never happened in earlier versions of WWB. I can appreciate that it could have to do with my Windows installation. (W10 Home , Build 1803)...
Albeit odd that this has only happened after the upgrade to WWB 14.

Is it just me?

Regards,

There are no known issues with Wb14, otherwise they would have already been fixed.
Do you have the latest update (14.0.4)?
If yes, then please describe the exact steps to reproduce this behavior.

Yes, version 14.0.4 is installed.

As these are random occurrences, I have as yet only witnessed this sometimes on saving or closing. There could be other operations where this could happen...

Nevertheless, I will try to find a full-proof way to replicate the end result I have experienced and then post it.

I do not think it's 'random'. Usually crashes are either caused by specific steps or when the project is too big to fit in memory (if you are running the 32bit version).

In truth, these are all old builds I am working on right now. They could have old extensions/objects causing interference...
(I am seeing to the latest Privacy Policy, Cookie, etc updates, getting these sites up to scratch legally)

Are you referring to a 32 bit version of WWB or Windows?
My Windows is 64 Bit but how to tell in WWB, if so?

If you do not know, then you are probably using the 32bit version.
