It is strange, that despite setting autobackup and autosave to "never", the program still makes backups.
This is not normal.
Are you sure about this?
Do you have more information?

Yes. Cleared backup folder, options as you can see. Look at backup folder in TC left window

. Right window it's my folder with projects.

These are standard backups that are made when you save your project.
To disable this functionality, please set the backup count to '0'

What did you do before the software crashed?
Did you look at the memory usage?

I agree with BF and Pablo that this is most likely memory related, but perhaps not that you are running out but that you have bad hardware (memory) that is causing the problem. I don't know if you are comfortable with working on computers, but if you are you can try removing the memory modules. You said it is a new computer with 32gb of memory. I don't know how that is configured (2x16gb, 4x8gb, etc.) but remove all but the minimum required for your system and try it. If it still crashes, swap the memory modules and try it again. It will be a pain but you should be able to eliminate bad memory (assuming it is configured correctly in bios and the motherboard is good). Also, be absolutely sure your file names conform to WWB requirements.

I don't think it's hardware related. I also have the issue of crashing when I try and open a new project after working on another one for a while.
As someone said before it sits there for a few seconds and then disappears. So, yes, I think it's a memory issue, but probably a memory overflow somewhere that Windows doesn't handle.
And, no I cannot easily reproduce it. I have tried (I've been in IT for nearly 50 years and I do know about providing enough info for developers). But I do know it's a real issue.

Hi Alan,
Yes, it could be Windows (I know, Windows always works perfectly

). I wonder if crashes would occur if you opened a second iteration of WWB instead of closing and opening the projects in the same one. Might be worth a try.

How many extensions have you enabled in the program? If you have, say, more than 200 extensions loaded then this could cause memory problems.

Since all my other programs are working fine (including After effects and Photoshop) and the computer is few months old, I believe memory modules are ok. 2x16gb.
I managed to get a better picture about how to reproduce the crash situation:
open many pages, work on one or more. Work for, don't know, about 1 or 2 hours.
Then close all, leave open just one.
Then scroll down the bottom in Site Manages and open the last page.
Doesn't even matter if you do oit quickly or slow, the program crashes.

The software has thousands of option and millions of possible combinations.
I need more specific information to know where to look.
What exactly do you do while you are working?
What is your workflow?
For example:
test 1
If you open your project and do nothing else, does it crash?
test 2
Open the project and only edit text, does it crash?
test 3
Open the project and only add new images.
etc

The program does not crash if you only open the project.
And even if you scroll to the last page in Site Manager and click it quickly, all is ok.
It happens only after some time of work.
I usually add images (20-30) in one session.
Images are not huge, approx. 600x300px.
And, of course, some text. All is put in layout grids.
That's about it.
I do have installed extensions (around 50, I guess).
I can see other users have a similar problem, so it must be a system bug somewhere.

Please try to remember exactly what you did. Otherwise there is nothing I can do.
I need more specific information.
Also, did you check the memory usage (system memory and gdi handles)?
The problem you previously described with the Site Manager seems to indicate that you are running out of GDI handles.
Each icon in the Site Manager allocates a GDI handle, otherwise window cannot render the image.
If you have lots of graphics in your project then your system may run out of handles.
