Resets non-standard Latin

Post by NDV » Wed Jun 09, 2021 12:59 pm

Hello!
WWB 16.3.2 (08.06.21) resets non-standard Latin characters ö, ß, ä € (German, Norwegian) to Cyrillic ц, Я, д Ђ.

Windows 10 21H1 64bit RUS
Standard fonts: Arial, Calibri, Times New Roman

Your project works for me.

Note the text editor is standard Windows functionality (msftedit.dll)
I assume it has previously worked?
Maybe there is something wrong with your system?
Did you recently change something?

Everything is ok with the system! I just recently installed a new system in conjunction with a upgrade to an SSD. I haven't had time to destroy the system yet.
I can only guess, these are problems due to the localization of Windows. You are using the English version of Windows, I using the Russian version.

Did you try if older versions of WWB still work?
If no, then it's a system issue.
If yes, then there may be a configuration issue somewhere.

Version 14.4 works correctly, no bugs.
Version 15.5 drops to Cyrillic fonts.

This is not a bug. The text editor is standard Windows functionality. I have no control over how fonts are rendered.

But maybe this will be helpful?

DPI didn't help
I installed the English language pack on Windows and changed the Administrative Regional Standard to US. It works.

Then it looks like a bug in Windows.
