Re: Videos within carousels?

If there are, say, seven buttons to a carousel, and in each I want a different video panel, all of these in turn are to enter-right, move to the left of the carousel, pause, then exit-left, the whole time the video is playing within, and this continues on in a forward-circular pattern, then which ev...

Re: Videos within carousels?

I would have thought that, but I cannot find hidden objects within the layer. Or am I misreading - "So, if you cannot resize the layer then this is caused by (hidden) objects that are outside the object's boundaries"? Also, do you have an answewr for the video-in-carousel issue above, with the link ...

Re: Videos within carousels?

Hi,

As well as the above, can someone also answer why some layers, after a bit of responsive design, become rigid - ie., you cannot reduce either length or height?

Re: Videos within carousels?

Hi, Thank you for getting back. Have a look. As you can see, the principle is working, and 480p probably is right. However, there are three buttons/'pages' to this carousel (testing for now), and each one is supposed to enter, pause, then move on (forward-circular) and be replaced by the next video ...

Videos within carousels?

Hi, Does anybody have any tips on how to make video look cool within a carousel? I managed to place several videos in, and it looks pretty decent. But even at 480p it only takes a few vids to cause a bottleneck-load. I have 22 panels to show on one page - at least that is my present design thinking ...

Re: different browsers on mobile phones

I resolved the first issue highlighted above: the expandable panel menu not placing correctly in Chrome on Android. This was set within a layer formatted to be a docking layer at the top. For some reason, in your software, if you do not begin with a "mobile first" approach, and expand/adapt the laye...

Re: video inside carousel ?

That's cool, though I meant within the carousel? And should this be 720p or 1080p?

video inside carousel ?

Hi, If I want to have videos inside the carousel, what is the best format? I have Squeeze (from Avid) so most formats are possible - Flash video, HTML5, Mp4, Webm, etc.? In your view, which is the better format and at what bitrate? Out of interest, is this video uploaded to my server when the page i...

Layout grid?

Hi, I have two pages, both with layers, yet one I can tuck a flex container, flex grid or layout grid underneath the bottom layer, while on the other page all three only snap to the top of the page. Help? Also, generally, what is best to place, separately, text, pictures and carousels into - layers,...

Re: different browsers on mobile phones

So, generally speaking, when is it appropriate to use an image, and when a picture?

Re: different browsers on mobile phones

What is the technical difference between an image and a picture? Also, I do not quite understand what you mean in your first paragraph - surely, I just add the image, resize it accordingly in each breakpoint/view, and this by itself means that the image will need resampling?

Re: different browsers on mobile phones

Ok, thanks.

Another question: when resampling images this makes things smoother once published. However, if I resample in full design, the image will need resampling when in mobile design - but then only one can be smooth. I have noticed this affects differences when live.

Re: different browsers on mobile phones

Hi,

What does "invalid image names" mean? Will that somehow affect something? And should and can I change these image names?

I am talking about here an issue with the Chrome browser on my Xperia phone; would this have an add-on? I just cleared all cookies, etc., and this made no difference.

different browsers on mobile phones

Hi, I am trying to get good first pages sorted (so as to clone and then rapidly develop from there onwards), but in these initial stages the expandable menu for mobiles (an additional purchase from you) seems to be doing weird things. Once a page is published and reviewed, all is fine on ordinary la...
