Re: Keeping slideshows within a fixed size

Pablo

Thanks for an honest answer.
It is - to me- obviously better to put a picture in a frame.

Is there maybe another way of doing it?

Re: Keeping slideshows within a fixed size

ftp://Tomkinsonsofliverpool.co.uk@79.17 ... ect_06.zip

This appears to work and is shorn of everything!

However, the frame doesn't go round the 4 sides of the image

Thanks for looking

Re: Keeping slideshows within a fixed size

Pablo

The test project -tomkinsontestproject5.zip is now in the public folder as:

ftp://Tomkinsonsofliverpool.co.uk@79.17 ... oject5.zip

It seems a very big zip file for say 20 images.
Sorry about the delay

Re: Keeping slideshows within a fixed size

pable

Thanks for that- unfortunately I didn't see it as I was busy resizing!

Now that all images are 900x600 the slideshows stay fixed and it is approaching what I want, but not there yet  . When I put a frame/border round the slideshow, the picture offsets, looking as though it is pinned to ...

Re: Keeping slideshows within a fixed size

Ah well, Pablo, thanks for clearing that up for me, but it would be an interesting thing to have a fixed height grid in any given breakpoint and another height in another breakpoint.
I'll get on with re-sizing then!

Re: Keeping slideshows within a fixed size

Thanks Crispy

That is quite correct. Some images are landscape and some are portrait, so to reduce them all to the same height would really impact on the visibily of the portrait ones.

If I can set the height of column to the portrait ones, then I could accept that the landscape ones don't fill ...

Re: Keeping slideshows within a fixed size

I have saved the project as a zip file/folder, which says it includes the images

Hope this is what is needed.

Re: Keeping slideshows within a fixed size

Pable

Sorry, I thought they had gone with the rest.
Because the photos are of different aspects/shapes, they project below where I want them to and so as the slideshow progresses, the display jumps up and down.

I will work out how to get them to you in the morning

I have reduced the max- width ...

Crispy

Many thanks for taking such a long view.

I don't disagree with anything you have said.
I think my approach is maybe too restrained- I'll think about it overnight and come back if I may with any justifications I can still make sincerely. Not a lot I guess.

Thanks again

Hi there

I've worked on this for some time, but I think I may be going round in circles.
Although I have used breakpoints, the site doesn't always fit to screen, even on my own phone.

Apart from that, I am getting reports (from family) that "the site looks old ...

Re: Responsive menu to stay on top

Thank you Pablo- as ever.

Maybe I'm not explaining myself properly. I am fine using the header to keep the menu at the top, but when the submenus are extended then they don't go on top of the page content.

However, I will keep on trying

Responsive menu to stay on top

This is really a code problem not a WB15 problem but if anyone can help me please?

Re: Single page protect font size

OK Pablo, you've cracked it!

And it is now responsive to font size. Could you possibly include the login button as I see that is not changing- although I can't see why. But then I'm no coder.

Thanks

I bought the new version and then realised I should delete the protection and re-enter it.
However it still doesn't give the font size that I can see? This is definitely done using 15 as I have changed the label for password

But any other protected page will do e.g. closing, Family manual, suppliers, miscellaneous

Errant code

I am fairly certain this is not a WB14 problem, so am seeking general help.

On Edge, everything is fine ...
