Re: file not opening
Hi Alan,
The error message simply says: "Failed to open document". As for the rest, as far as I am aware I carried over all the appropriate files and folders, and indeed one of my other WB project files opens, and all its associated files and folders were carried over in exactly the same way.

file not opening
Hi,
I've recently changed laptops and brought over to it three WB files relating to websites built. However, while two open up, the one that I want to use does not. Also, this non-working one still opens on my old laptop.
Please advise,
DC

Re: PDF viewer ?
Hi Mr Fries, Thank you for this, though I tend to shudder at the idea of scripts and I can't even tell which one of the ones you suggested I can simply go ahead and use (read: free). If I may just relay my limited thinking, and you correct me from here. Now I can upload the PDF directly to my server...

PDF viewer ?
Hi,
Is there a good PDF viewer extension available (or however best phrased)? I could simply upload the PDF I have in mind, and its URL ending with .pdf, but I wondered if there were a more elegant way of displaying this?
Thank you,
DC

Re: Stagger loading photos
Thank you for getting back to me. I'm using the Fotorama extension, as it was clearly my favourite in terms of user experience. My apology, I didn't quite understand what how you explain the 'enable lazy loading'. What I was kinda hoping for is that if, say, my page has ten of these Fotorama extensi...

Stagger loading photos
Hi, I have a page design in mind, specifically to minimise a user's click journey, that entails having lots of photos on one web page. Supposing these are displayed via numerous amounts of photo-displayer tools, to stop the overall loading of a page is it possible to give the user the option to down...

responsive email
Hi, This question is beyond the scope of this forum, but you guys are always so good I am hoping someone can give an answer. I want to put out a general email, marketing my business. Working the basic tools I have, I set up a new email in MS Outlook 2007, and within this insert > table > 1 column + ...

Re: redirect to https
Hi all, Thank you for your help. This was a headache (and for a site like mine an SSL certificate seems like money for old rope). Anyway, I have had a message from help at 123-Reg, and it looks like someone there rewrote the code. For future reference, it is the following. Thank you, D. RewriteEngin...

Re: redirect to https
Ok, I think problem solved. The second code offered earlier works, with adapting to my specific URL. And the .htaccess file must sit in the main folder, but not within the public_html folder. Can you please test at your end and confirm, thank you.

Re: redirect to https
This whole SSL situation has driven me crazy, particularly as it seems like money for old rope. Ok, yep - I then spotted the missing .com. So, again - below is the revised code, placed in a .htaccess file, which is connected to my home page via File Publisher add-on, which uploads into the public_ht...

Re: redirect to https
In my control panel there is both a File folder and a public_html folder, the latter within the former. Placing the .htaccess file in either one makes no difference to the current situation.
