Is there a simple way to add shadows to text in a text object?

OR .. it there a way to have 2 different colors for the wording in the H1 header object which allows shadows?

What I am trying to accomplish is, I have a sentence that I would like one word of the sentence to be in a different color and with a dropshadow

Create 2 styles in style manager, one with each color you want and add the text shadow to one of them. Then select the text in the text object, right click, and apply each style to the text via the context menu.

The heading object has built-in support for text shadow.

Hi Pablo ,, what I find is the heading object won’t allow me to have different font colours .. what I am trying to do is have a sentence in green but only one word in the sentence in gold with shadow ..

You can still use the Heading Object and then use <span> for the sentence you want in gold.

It will depend where in the sentence you want the one single "word" to be "gold" and have a "shadow".

As suggested by wixily...Start by adding the Heading Object set its text, colour, to be used.
Next add a Text Object (using span) as before set its text, colour, font.
Next add another Text Object as previously set text, colour, shadow etc to the one "word"
Finally Add another Text Object and set text, colour, font ect...you should now have a "Heading" with your sentence with one specific word as you require..
