There is not mutch to say…

Select your big and small image.
Enter for the small image the bordersize and bordercolor.(if you like)
Type the text what shows up at the bottom from your image.
Type for every new image a new ID name.

This extension das not work if you enable pngfix.htc in Web Builder.
The pngfix is to show transparentie from png images in IE6 browser windows.

FancyZoom is totally free for your non-commercial website.

In a bit of an experiment: if your website is commercial (i.e. makes you money), you can license FancyZoom for $39 per site, a one-time fee.

Nice extension that but sorry if it doesn't work with png fix then that is a major limitation, for me at least.

Hi Eddie,

I'm trying to get the extension to work for me.

http://www.lairdwebservice.com/photozoom.html

It works in previous, but not after published.

Any suggestions?
Sincerely,

Maybe if u use lowercase alphabet for the image names?
Maybe another script in your page is the problem, try first on a empty page.

Updated the extension.
caption was file and is now edit.
There was also for the thumb-width px missing

I got it working. It must have been interfered by other script on my server, so I created a new folder and it works there.

I have a page set up with ten thumbnails, each with their own unique id name.

I have provided each with the full sized image and a separate thumb image.

The first three images are portrait, followed by a 2x2 block of thumbs that are landscape, followed by three more images in portrait style.

When I click on the thumbs to zoom to the full-sized image, all the portrait images looks great, but the landscape images, when they pop up, appear in the size of the portrait images and are squished and look terrible.

I just downloaded the latest version just to be sure.

Any ideas?

This seems to happen in Firefox (using 3.6.11). Microsoft Internet Explorer acts fine. In Firefox, if you open one of the landscape images first, then all images appear in the ratio of landscape, thereby making all the portrait images look awful. If you open one of the portrait images first in Firefox, all images then want to load in that ratio, making the landscape images look awful.

Another issue I'm having is it decides to reject the path to the thumb image when I save and then publish the project. After building each page full of thumbs, I save, and then publish. When I go and look at the published product, the thumbnail paths have all been changed to match that of the large image, but when I set each image up, I specifically pointed to the large and smaller versions.

I have to save the project, then go back over every instance of the extension and reset the path to the thumb image, save again, and then publish and things are right.
