***SOLVED*** My Hosting Service Has NO PHP and Database Files

Post by vance »

I just received an email from my Dashnex Hosting Service
and it says they have NO PHP and Database Files.

Please see email message in JPG format at:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/vjo6q3cxnnvj5 ... E.jpg?dl=0

Does this mean that my WYSIWYG Form will not work in my Dashnex Page?
Oh my. It's all right. Not your fault anyway. Its my fault for buying an account from them.

Without PHP you cannot use the built-in form script.
In that case, you will have to use a third party form service.

Note that other features also use PHP. Like the login tools, CMS and several extensions.
A web account with PHP is strongly recommended.

Yes, I agree with you. But there is nothing I can do now.
because my Dashnex account is a one-time lifetime fee
for only US$17 with two fixed subdomains (1 for personal and 1 for ecom site)

But very compatible with WYSIWYG (I can upload a whole site in only 3 minutes).
PHP is just the problem.

Meanwhile I will just make use of Mailchimp since it is perfectly working fine
with WYSIWYG as you can see in my other Dashnex site (still Under Construction) at:

https://centrexman.dashnexpages.net/webdesign/
(Note: I will soon change the original images of the Ibiza Template that I used.)

I am planning to buy a Godaddy domain one of these days
just to learn PHP and make use of the WYSIWYG FORM.

If you still want forms, but can't use PHP< you could always use a free service like Cognitoforms and embed their form in your web site.

It's what I do and it works well.

If you want an example, have a look here https://www.penninescouts.org.uk/nan.html - feel free to fill it out but do NOT click on Submit (thanks).

There's other forms scattered through the web site too - contact ones.

Many thanks Alan.
I have already tried Cognito Forms.

Nice and easy to use and it has lots of editing features.
But there is only one comment.

It has a credit note below the form
which says : "Powered by Cognito Forms"

Whereas Mailchimp has no credit note.
You may check my still Under Construction site at:
centrexman.dashnexpages.net/webdesign/

I will edit the form one of these days.
Again thank you so much.

It's free - let them have a little advert. It's not mailchimp.
