Heading question

Post by martin.mattel »

Hello @Pablo,

sorry for this maybe stupid question.

What is the difference between:

1. Toolbox - Heading
and
2. Toobox - Text - Style - Predefined Style - Style (where you can chose a heading)

Where on 1. you also can set a Predefined Style additionally

The heading tool is a dedicated object to insert (responsive) headings.
It's just a quicker way to add headings without having to deal with styles.

Ok, got that, thanks for explaning.

Means, I can use the one or the other and both lead to the same result.

And this means, if I got it correct, that in the heading tool, chosing a heading, you must not use a predefined style - which would else counteract the original intention and may lead to strange behaviours. Or?

Saying it in a different way, if I am right with my statement above, predefined styles should be inselectable when using headings.

Note that 'predefined style' specifies the style of the text's container, not the text itself.

To use headings in text, you will have to apply style directly to the text.

Follow up question, not found in the style-manager description (btw, old picture on edit style, breakpoint is missing...):

Changing a style in the style-manager (h1, h2, does not matter), default breakpoint, in particular fontsize, this change is not being used for a heading. A different fontsize is taken. Adding breakpoints to the style and change the fontsize on each bp, these sizes are not taken either on the appropriate bp.

What am I missing?
