Give end users access to update page content

Post by alex4orly »

I have been a WWB user since 2007, I am comfortable with it and enjoy it.
A ceratin customer wants to get access to update content, they suggest to switch to Wordpress - I will tell them where to go...

So, any examples / suggestions on how to offer it with WWB?

Happy New Year

Thanks Pablo,

The hardest part is to get the end user / custome to understand that they have to predfine what pages they want to update.
They also think they can add pages, but how will the base envelope of the website "Know" about a new page that was added?

I am sure there are some answers to the questions....

This is a philosophical argument - who manages the sources. As soon as you give someone else the abilility to update content, you have lost control. So, you tell the customer that either YOU do it all and he just tells you what he wants or you hand it all over to him and walk away.

At least, that is what I would do.

The CMS tools can be used to add new pages.
An email can be sent to the admin when a page has been added/updated.

Thanks Pablo, will look at the CMS package - this will mean that the entire site needs to be developed from scartch....
Yes Alan, I am inclined to do the same

Cheers
