Overscrolling

Post by colsmith999 »

When i view some of my website pages they overscroll past the bottom of the page display.

here is an example of what i mean - http://www.maltonbowlsclub.org/best_of_23_ends.html

when this page is viewed on a PC its perfect but when viewed on a smartphone i can scroll way past the bottom of the page.

anyone know what i need to do to fix this?

I'm sorry, I am not familiar with the term 'overscrolling'. Can you please be more specific?

Note that your website is not responsive, so that is probably why it does not look good on smaller screens.

not sure the term is correct. it describes best what i am trying to eliminate.

if you follow the link in my first post using a smartphone you will see what i mean

you can keep scrolling until the web page disappears completely.

I have created the site with a default breakpoint at 1200px and another breakpoint at 360px

almost all the pages on my site display perfectly, but not all and those are the ones i am trying to fix, no point in being able to keep scrolling way past the bottom of a web page

I don't think you have configured your break points correctly and adjusted the content because after viewing your link via a mobile device, I still have to manually scroll to the right to see the full page content.

If your 360 break point was configured correctly, then horizontal scrolling would be eliminated, this may also be contributing to the infinite scrolling vertically via mobile devices.

First you will need to remove the code you have added to the start of the page, this makes the entire page invalid.
Currently this prevents the breakpoints from working or there may be another issue, but first you will have to fix this.
