Re: Bringing Login dialog in front of home page

I'm sorry, but the implementation is not correct.

Step 1
- protect the actual page (with 'Protected page object')
- the 'Access denied page' is the login page.

Step 2
- create a login page, the background should be 'dummy' version of the real content. For example by using background image.
- the 'Destination page' should be the protect page (from step 1)

Notre that adding a login object to the page does not protect that page!

I followed your steps (at this point I didn't make and dummy background image)
Please visit here : http://www.beleuramyhome.org.au/fplogin.php
This page is the Loging page itself
When you login, with 221 / 221a - there is no error nor does it go to the target page

I must be doing something wrong???

Thanks again

Where? What form.
You have added form controls but there is no form to process the input.

Toolbox->Login->Login

Hello again,
The only thing I did is dropped on the JQuery object the Login object, didn't add any input fields myself.
Please check this link for my earlier attempt, it works just fine. I have used the login object many times before
http://www.beleuramyhome.org.au/loginmember.php : login with 221 / 221a
How can I see that I added fields but no form?

Thanks again

This page has a form:
http://www.beleuramyhome.org.au/loginmember.php

This page does not have a form.
http://www.beleuramyhome.org.au/login_modal.php

Note that I cannot see what you have done based on the HTML code.
All I can see that the page does not have a form, so that is why it does not work.

Yes, the first example I created myself manually with Layout grids etc and of course a form
The 2nd example - I converted the object to a form by using "convert to form".
I expect that this will do the form, or am I wrong?

Cheers

I'm sorry but without seeing what you have done it will be difficult to be helpful.
All I can see know that there is no form.

Please do not change anything until you have the basics working.

Hello again,

OK, I started the page again.
1) Inserted a JQuery dialog
2) Plugged into it the Login object
ALL works fine as required
3) Used "Convert to form"
NOT working again

Cheers

You will need to convert the login form to a standard before adding it to the dialog.
If you use nested layers then it will not work. You cannot nest form in HTML.

I think you are trying to do too much at the same time.
Please first try to focus on the basics. Once you have got that working you can go to use advanced features.

OK, so let me understand, I am listing below the steps I think you mean

1) Create a new page
2) Insert a login object (I know this works)
3) Convert it to a form
4) Insert a JQuery into that same page
5) Drag the Login into it

Is that the right order?

Maybe it is late for you for today, go have a drink...
Cheers

Works fine, BUT
Becasue of the Page protect object on my home page now, each time someone clicks the home option on the menu, it prompts them of course to login again

How can I avoid this?

Thaks for your help and time

Normally the home page is not protected, otherwise there is no landing page.
