[rz] Late-Activation Object *** UPD 2016-Oct-30 ***

Post by [RZ] »

[rz] LAO v1.0.1

Late-Activation Object (aka "LAO").
This extension allows you to configure a selective late-activation feature to objects according to their visibility in the viewport area (images or any other object).

Some features:

- Multi-instance for individual configurations.
- Multiple objects with the same configuration.
- One-time effect or every time the object is in the viewport area.
- Opacity levels for both inactive and active statuses.
- Minimum part (in size) of the object that must be in the viewport to activate it.
- Fade-in factor for smooth effect.
- Optional delayed activation once the object is in the viewport.

HTML 4.01 Transitional
W3C compliant

DEMO

* New in version 1.0.1:

- New units mode (px and %) for improved minimum-size of object visibility calculation.
- Minor code tweaks.

How to use?

1. Design your page as you usually do.
2. Drag and drop the extension.
3. Open the extension dialog box and enter the objects names which you want to apply the effect.
4. Optionally, you can customize the objects activation behavior.
5. Preview or publish.

Enjoy!

Nice work [Rz] :P

Does this allow for timed (late) activation of effects ?

Like as you scroll down a slide in layer will occur, or have I misinterpreted "object" ?

Sorry for the confusion

it shows and hides objects only when they are in the viewport or out of it
this occurs when there is enough content to scroll the page, as in the online demo
i.e. some modern blogs have this feature for the images, however this extension handles images, layers, slideshows, shapes, texts, etc...
thank you for your feedback

Is it possible to use this extension in combination with CSS3 animations?

that object comes from sides, zoom from back and similar.
So, In the moment when object is activated then start object CSS3 animation.

i assume the animations you are referring to are css3 based
the extension uses pure javascript
there are independent effects

I will buy extension but I like to know.

So, on this site I used extension which delay object appearance, and when object appear than starts independent (not part of extension) CSS3 animation.
http://radio-korcula.hr/

Is it possible to do something like this with LAO?
So, when you scrolling then object apper then start CSS3 animation?

Sorry about my english. Please make a little effort to understand. ;)

you can delay the object visibility once it is in the visible area of the viewport, fading-in smoothly
this is a javascript effect, the extension is not based on css3
you must have enough content in the page so as the visitor need to scroll down and up, this way, when the selected objects are in the visible area, then will turn themselves visible
this effect can be permanent or just one-time

I don't need fade. Can I set fade to "no" or "0"?
Just need object appearing in the visible area.
So this is it about LAO!
Now start CSS3 animation which is not part of LAO but part of object preferences.

if you dont need the fade effect, just set it to 0
of course, you should setup a delay to the image visibility, otherwise you won't see nothing but a normal image

this is a late activation object (usually done with images) as seen on many blogs
perhaps other extension with different features may be available in the future

Yes. Delay of view. But actually Object ID Fader delay LOADING of the object.
What I need is a plugin that will delay the LOADING (not view) of the object until the object comes into the visible part of the browser.
I'm not a programmer and do not know if that's possible.

RZ

I have FAQ page with a jquery tab. When you open the relevant page then for a short time all the content from the various tabs is visible at the same time. The same applies to jquery accordions on my website.
Is it possible to delay the view of the items until they are ready with this extension?
