Post by BaconFries » Sat May 05, 2012 9:20 pm

This extension was inspired by an extension the former member and extension builder Eddy made, see the following url so i decide to update it to allow multiple videos, along the way I ran into some issues these being script conflicts, so i searched for a compatible script and well carry on reading to find out more... :D

I thought as much –
I am trying to play product videos in a 600 high by 400 wide light box window in HD.
I have been unsuccessful using the WB YouTube extension because the window size is below the HD threshold set by YouTube. The visitor has to select HD from the player tool bar once the video has started.
I am investigating options where the videos are hosted locally not on You Tube – hence my note
If you have any suggestions greatly appreciated...

Great extension and is most helpful. Found this morning and fit client request perfectly, thank you!

Would you tell me how to get the Next and Previous tabs to show up - I set it to true in the extension settings under #3. Using it here: http://homestaging-stagehands.com/photos.html

Thanks so much in advance for assistance :D

Ok here is what I think is wrong. I noticed that the extension is on top of an image, and when using the extension on this, the image takes a higher z-index than the next/previous images. You can see this if you use the extension on your page, if you scroll down you will see the next image come into view, and will go out of view behind the image when you scroll up again. I will need to see if I can try and make the next/previous images have a higher z-index than the image. If this isn't possible you may have to use the extension by itself.

Thanks greatly for looking into this :)

I removed the square cream colored box; when I click a video in preview mode, I can see on the right side "XT" in Next and it's underneath the video thumbnail underneath the lightbox. I might be able to use fewer columns so nothing shows on either side of the lightbox; however, many more will be added over time and 2-3 columns will make for much longer page(s). I will publish it without that extra background and let you see what I mean :)

Also, any plans to add caption to thumbnails? I think having it show on hoover is fine, but client just asked about it yesterday.

It may be possible, I do have a old version of a lightbox script the had this, I cant promise anything as it may not be compatible with this version. I will look at it and see what can be done, but at the moment I am busy with a external project, but I will try asap.
