Does anyone else have a problem with HostGator.

Post by nrgiser » Sat Jul 21, 2018 7:07 am

Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone else has had problems uploading their site to HostGator in the past and present.

I am having problems again now, the second time in a week. It starts if I go to my site and I get a 500 internal error code on all my pages when I try and visit my site, there is nothing I can do but wait it out, after about 10 to 15 minutes the site works normally again and I can view it without incident.

Next though is that I cannot upload anything to my server, whether that is using the inbuilt client in WWB or FileZilla. It will not connect no matter how many times I try and I cannot even log in to my cPanel account either. After say 30 minutes it might come back and I can upload a certain amount of stuff before again it goes offline again.

Has any one else experienced this problem with HostGator or is it something only I am experiencing as I cannot find any information online about it and if it is only me that suffers from this problem then is it something that I am doing wrong. But it does resolve itself after an hour or so and works OK for another 5 or 7 days.

Thank you,

nrgiser

If it does not even work with FileZilla then it's most likely a server related issue.

Thanks Pablo for confirming my suspicions. It working again fine again today, but I do wonder if anyone else has the same issues as I am having with HostGator.

I will contact HostGator today to try and get to the bottom of this problem, if I have any meaningful answers from them, I will post them here for information purposes only.
