LAYOUT GRID inside LAYOUT GRID

Post by ColinM »

Hi Pablo,
I know that you can place a LG inside a LG but only once.
But is it possible to place a two column LG in the LH column of a two column LG please?

Although it's not officially supported, it may work.
Did you try?

Yes I did Pablo and no - it doesn't work - it squashes the two subordinate LG columns together causing the content in the L and R subordinate LG to overlap. Worth a try! :D

Yes, it DOES work, if you set up the layout grids correctly.

What appears to be a bulleted list on this page is actually a two-column layout grid in the right column of another two-column layout grid. Notice as the page is sized how the text wraps better than a bulleted list.

And on this page each of the two-column layout grids (starting with "Bath and Brush" and "Mini Groom") are all two-column layout grids inside a parent two-column layout grid. So is the "Other Upgrade Selections" section at the bottom.

Make sure the parent's layout style is "fluid" (sometimes the child, too -- you just have to experiment) and multiple-column LGs inside other multiple-column LGs work well.

Now, if only we could get a second level of nesting!

Hey gofrank,

You're correct, and thank you. I did actually find that out after conferring with Crisp offline but hadn't a chance to update this - so thanks for your post that reminder me to do so! 8)

And ah YES a second level would be great.
