Can't hide an object in break point

Post by Jerry » Thu Dec 27, 2018 11:42 pm

Trying to complete a template for for RWD but I an having a hard time trying to get one item in particular to hide in one break point.
I am using html objects for Google ads. I have 3 vertical objects on the side of break point 768. And they show ok.
They are all set to hide in other BPs.
Except I have the top two to appear on my default size.. Which they do.
But here is the problem. The bottom one from the 768 BP still shows up in the default page but not in the 520 BP nor the 375 BP.
This is my temporary page location. https://www.edesignsplans.ca/temp/2011547.html
Any thoughts/
Thank you.

Try using display:none instead of visibility:hidden in the Options --> CSS

That didn't work.
I unchecked "Include visibility" under general options and reloaded the page but it made no difference.
But thanks for getting back to me.

To go back to my previous comment, I believe you need to change the way objects are 'hidden'. The default is set to visibility: hidden. When you uncheck the box 'Visible' in the Object manager, it simply 'hides' it and adds the code: visibility:hidden to the CSS code. In looking at your code, this is what it's doing:

Code: Select all

#Google_html_3 { position: absolute;   left: 600px;   top: 1569px;   width: 160px;   height: 600px;   visibility: hidden;   z-index: 34;}
Go to Tools --> Options --> HTML --> CSS and change the CSS visibility property to: display:none

Now when you uncheck the box 'visible' in the Object manager, it will use display:none rather than visibility:hidden in your code. So it should look like this:

Code: Select all

#Google_html_3 { position: absolute;   left: 600px;   top: 1569px;   width: 160px;   height: 600px;   display:none;   z-index: 34;}
some code will not 'hide' using visibility:hidden in the CSS code.
