Responsive Menu drop-down options obscured by image

Post by TvdS » Sat Aug 04, 2018 11:10 am

I have been experimenting with building a web page using the flex grid.

However, when I hover over an item on the responsive menu, if it has a sub-menu the drop-down panel is partially obscured by the image in the next row of the flexbox. I cannot seem to get the drop-down panel to display on top of the image. I have tried the "move to top" and "move to bottom" options to get one of these objects in a position where the drop-down panel appears on top of the image, but I don't seem to be able to achieve that.

I have posted the html file here: http://www.mfasa.co.za/flexgrid-test/flexgrid1.html

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

Normally, drop down menus are part of a page header. Then you can set the stack level to 'in front of content'

Thanks so much for your prompt response to my question. It seems that in newer versions I can set the drop down to be in front and not to obscure lower images even if I have not set the menu up in a header layer.

Can you please give me some more guidance. I have a client who wants his navigation menu to look like the one on this website: https://www.bidvest.co.za

Is that something that I can achieve using the tools in WYSIWYG 14. If not are there extensions that provide more menu options?

I would have posted this as a new topic, but for the life of me I can't find the button that launches a new topic anywhere. I know I am missing something because I have managed it before.

There is no menu that works exactly like this, but maybe this one will be useful?

Or else use events to show/hide layers on mouse over (for advanced users).
