flex grid

Post by chriscctx » Sun May 27, 2018 12:49 am

Downloaded the new 14 version and playing with the flex grid. One my first several attempts I tried putting background colors in the cells only. nothing shows up on a preview. Next tried adding some images - still nothing on preview. I published the html and no reference to colors in the html.

Any ideas?

Chris

The background will only show up if the flex grid has content.
Otherwise the height of the grid will be zero (unless the rows have a fixed height).

I set up a temple in flexgrid, 4 column, 3 rows, named them. When adding content to the cells, does it have to be in "orders", or just drag and drop from outside? I put textcontent in the cells but it does not turn up as I arranged it in prewiev or live, and backgroundcolor is not there. Just one row turns up. In layout-mode ok. Where to read? Layout grid FAQ?

Maybe this will be helpful?

tips:
- make sure all area names are valid
- make sure area names are unique
- make sure you test it in a modern browser that supports CSS layout grid.
- if it does not work for you then always include a link so we can see what you have done.

http://www.axiv.se/page1.html
At this page are 3 columns, 4 rows, backgroundcolor is blue in different cells, lightblue, "more blue"
When adding colorbackground to the cells I use style in the right corner down in flex grid. If using style in the "top" meny in flex grid it covers the whole flex grid and not one single cell i´working in. Clean cache several times.
Chrome, Mic Edge all up to date.
I work on a laptop, Hp Spectre, 7 intel 4k screen.

The names of the grid items are invalid.
There is a dot in the names. A 'dot' is reserved character and should not be used in names.
'Dot' means empty.
