This extension is very useful in automating various actions that you might be doing manually.

The basic ‘simple’ function of this extension is to expire a certain page at a certain date and time. This date and time can be any time in the future, may it be set to 2012 or 2025 or in that case 2100 too.

You can use it at various situations like expire a promotional campaign, a discount offer, a free membership offer, a membership, a subscription offer, create a demo site for your client, expire a website if the client is a defaulter…etc. If you are imaginative and have an inclination towards marketing, this tool has unlimited use.

Note: This is not java script driven but php, hence people with javascript disabled will not be an issue

hi me.prosenjeet,

no ... I think the list represents your extension correct.
you provide 2 versions of the same extension, if I would have to place that in the Index, it would look like ...

Page Expire WB6 .......................................... me.prosenjeet ......... EB 2.0.3 .............. =
Page Expire WB7 .......................................... me.prosenjeet ......... EB 2.5.0 .............. =

if everybody would do this, hypothetically, this list could become 2 or 3 time it's length.
for sake of that happening let's hit the button hypothetical elimination . .
even if you would have created 2 separate topics of the same extension, I would only reference to one,
and ask you to put a link in the top of your topic combining the 2 versions.

so ...
provide detailed information regarding your extension in the top of your extension topic . :) .

Bartman wrote:Hi, I like the extension, and paid for it, many thanks :)

Can I request that a start date and time be added, it would make this extension the ultimate in page expired extensions.

Call it my wish list

Bartman
Thanks for the feedback and purchase! :D
Ya, you can add an end date to the extension.
See the screenshot in the first post...
It is the End date and time. :D
Start date can be when you upload the page with the extension on your site.

Bartman wrote:Hi I final tried the extension the other day and my hosting company disabled my site as it some how started to generate 600+ hits in less than 10 seconds and would not stop, I have the log file if you require it, but I am not happy at the moment...... :(
This extension I have sold about 55 times and never any problem arised and in fact have received positive response.
I really dont know what to reply...this is a specific case and you need to speak to your server guy.

Strange problem this, I am unable to edit the main post...it keeps on saying on 'submit'--- "service temporarily not available"
Just wanted to say...
No SQL Database required by this extension

I think I've possibly found a bug.
If a year after 2069 is entered (i.e. 70-99) then it always does the Expire url.
Years 12-69 work OK.

@WWBman
Thanks for that point.
Yes it works for upto a date 58 years from now.
Still a long time that ;-)

I found it because I naturally put 99 in the year to prevent it from expiring.
Just to be absolutely clear, are you saying that next year the 'working' expire range will be 2013-2070?

If there is anything on the 'normal' page it is added to the 'expire' page when the 'expire' page is shown so the only way to prevent this is to have a completely blank page with the extension pointing to the 2 'normal' and 'expire' pages.
I assume this was intended but I'm not sure how this can be used.

The purpose of the blank page is...when you upload all the three pages, the active page and the expire page url will not be shown and only the blank page URL will show. So the visitor will never actually see the active page URL.
Like if ....
The blank page URL is http://www.lucknowwebs.com/expire/index.php
Expire link is http://www.lucknowwebs.com/expire/expired.php
Active Page is http://www.lucknowwebs.com/expire/active.php

The visitor will always see http://www.lucknowwebs.com/expire/index.php and first the active page will show and then on expiry the expire page will show. But there will be no change in the URL
This has been purposely designed in this way so there is no misuse and visitor will never actually know the real URLs of the expire and active pages
Try the demo that is there in the zip folder
