No plugin configuration tabs

Post by netmarketer » Tue Jan 19, 2016 7:53 pm

Hi... I added 3 plugins to CMS Admin but the configuration tabs are not showing.

From http://www.wysiwygwebbuilder.com/cms_plugins.html it says "the 'admin' part will be loaded by the CMS Admin and display a configuration tab", but this is not happening and I am unable to configure any of them.

If I click on the Plugins link on the menu, all 3 are showing, but not the tabs. Only the General tab is showing.

Maybe a bug?

What did you do?
Which plugins did you install?
Not all plugins have tabs. This is not a bug.

Plugins are:

File Manager
Plugin Manager
User Manager

How would I configure File Manager if there is no tab?

There plugins do not have a tab, because they do not apply to pages.

You can change the behavior of the plugin by editing the code of the plugin.

"File Manager plug-in Implements a basic file manager to upload files. The default folder is 'files' but you can change this by editing the plugin file (plugin.php)."

Here is plugin.php:

<?php
$plugin = array(
'name' => 'File Manager',
'description' => 'Implements a basic file manager',
'admin' => array('menu' => array('File Manager' => 'adminform'))
);
?>

How should this be edited? There is no default folder called "Files".

When I try to upload a file I get this:
File upload error: Upload failed, please verify the folder's permissions.

What folder is referred to here? The Filemanager folder is 777, so that can't be it.

Settings can be changed in 'adminform.php'.
This is for advanced users only. Change at your own risk.
There is no support on modified plugins.

This is the folder configured in adminform.php.

Went through the adminform.php.

Even when I create the 'files' folder myself (it's not created by the plugin itself) and give it full permissions, still the same error.

Does anyone support this plugin?

Did you create the folder in the right location on the server?
This can only be a configuration issue.

You are right. I moved it to the root directory from the File Manager directory and it works now.

Thanks again.
