Is there a way to edit the HTML code other than adding extra html code.

WYSIWYG Web Builder is not an HTML editor. The HTML does not exist until you publish the page. So, you cannot edit the code directly.

What is it that you feel needs editing? Perhaps there is a built-in function which would achieve the results you are looking for.
