Google Site Verification in Meta Tags

Post by kirbykirk »

I have my google site verification inserted as a user defined metatag. But when I do that it is showing up at the top of my published page instead of being hidden. I thought I had this working but after doing some updates and tweeks to the site it showed up again. Suggestions on how/where to put this information so it will not be visible on the live page?

Did you include the complete meta tags as documented in the help?

I believe so. It was working before. and when I search metatag in the help section I only get this: Use title and meta tags from database for Search Engine Optimization.

Enable this option to use the title, description and keywords from the CMS database (specified in CMS Admin) instead of the title/meta tags configured in Page Properties .

This makes it possible to optimize the pages for SEO, because now each page will have its own title and metatags.

Now I have deleted it from the Master Page Metatag and Reloaded the entire site and it is still there. Really confused now because I can't figure out how to get rid of it. But also need it to be in there for the google SEO. Web address is SuccessExpressMP.com

You have added invalid code to the Page HTML:

Code: Select all

google-site-verification: google88fbbc758ac94f23.html
Please remove this from the Page HTML.
