Worth Upgrading From 14 to 15?

Post by Nomad Soul »

Hi

So I currently use the latest build of v14 and everything seems fine. I had a look at the v15 features and hardware accelerated rendering certainly looks nice but what about the rest of it? The other content looks like slightly different takes on existing features or plugins which have been made official.

I'd appreciate any thoughts from v15 adopters. Is there some killer stuff I've not picked up on which you consider essential or are the improvements so good its worth the cash?

Besides this, many extensions and other features have been added in the meantime:

Thanks Pablo

I've been using WB since v7 so i'm super happy with the product.

The new graphics engine could well be worth the asking price alone. I just didn't want to upgrade straight away this time as v14 is absolutely great.

Just be aware that if you are still using Windows 7, you may, or may not, have an issue with the new graphics. It might be worthwhile downloading a trial version 15 to ensure your computer will play nice with the latest version.

If you are running Windows 8 or 10, then everything should be fine, and 'yes', for the modest upgrade price, it is definitely worth keeping up!

Just my $.02

The upgrade is worth it. Heck, for the full price it is still the deal of the century. And it can be installed to run along with 14, so you can still use the old version for your current stuff. Once you save a project in 15, they may not work in 14 anymore. And go 64bit if you aren't already.
