First Frame Video

Post by MGD4me »

I created a layer whose sole purpose is to display a video, by making an 'mp4' video file the background image. Since the video file can be 8 to 10 MB in size, there can be a brief delay while the video is delivered to the end user, depending on the download speed.

Is there a way to have the first frame of the video displayed immediately, while waiting for the entire video to be received? I am looking at another web site which has a background video, which accomplishes this task. See: https://www.deltamodelrailwayclub.com/.

Can I do something similar with WWB?

The 'poster' property of the HTML5 video object can be used to display a image.
This option is not available for backgrounds.

Your best bet may be to check out RZ's extension here:

@crispy68

That looks like it certainly will do the job - Thanks.

Now to decide which extension package to order, as there are plenty to choose from. LOL
