Overlay Menu concept

Hello there,

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!

Just wanted to check if this sort of overlay menu (link) can be achieved in WB? I just want to have the hamburger icon > defaults to an X on click > with an overlay that can accommodate a short text para with in-text links - similar to the example.

Thank you!

Maybe this template will be useful?

This template uses a (full screen) layer triggered by events.

Hi Pablo,

As suggested I downloaded the New York template and used the Full Screen Layer with an adaptation menu on my project. Everything works fine on larger viewports except that on smaller viewpoints (i.e 320, 480, 768) the contents on the Full Screen Layer is visible even when it meant to be hidden. Tried everything - cant figure out what though. I would really appreciate if you could kindly look into my project and see what am I doing wrong.

I have emailed you the project files :)

Thanks.

Please uncheck 'include visibility' for the layer.

See also this related FAQ "When using events, the visibility is affected by breakpoints."

Hi Pablo,

Thanks for your prompt reply. As advised,I unchecked 'include visibility' for the layer through the Object Manager, read the related FAQ on the subject but no joy. The layer still remain visible on smaller screens, and only on smaller screens. I also tried unchecking the default value in Tools->HTML->Use 'Include visibility' as default for new objects but doesn't seem to work either.

Please help.

Did you do it for all objects on the layer?

Yes, when I did it for all objects on the layer it then causes other problems, such as, only the layer on the smaller breakpoints becomes visible and not the contents on it. It's a bit of a mess.

I have tried with the project you have sent me and it seems to work correct.

So if I'm correct; you first hid all objects on the layer and then hid the layer as well? That's what I did.

No, you will need to uncheck the option 'include visibility' for the layer and all objects on the layer.

Please see the FAQ for the reason behind this.
