crash of death

Post by crownfield » Thu Oct 03, 2019 8:59 pm

windows 7, wysiwyg 14.

I started a new site.
I created a masterpage.
I created a menu.

I created 6 more pages.
two had text on them.
one had an image.

I never got a chance to save all that work.
I don't have anything to show or send to debug.

for a mature program to crash
with no warning,
and to destroy that much work,
with no chance to save or recover, is not acceptable.

all I can do is restart over again,
and painfully save every time
before I add a page
or add text
or add an image.

should not be necessary,
should not be a problem,
but it is.

there are uncaught fatal flaws in the program.
no help needed, no response needed.

Web Builder has an auto backup function that saves the site periodically. Did you try to restore your last backup from there?

Besides all the backups options, WB15 also has an 'auto save' option.

Also, if you run into a problem and describe the exact steps to reproduce the crash then it will usually be fixed within a few hours.
But first make sure that you are running the latest update, because there are currently no known issues.
