New Update does not work

Just uploaded the newest Version, now it is not loading the Application. I need a fix now, because I need to make urgent changes on the site

This is most likely an issue with your virus scanner.
Please add 'webbuilder.exe' to the exception list.

Sorry, even with deactivated Firewall, it is not loading. Made uninstall, then new install did not work. still the version 14 works

For a firewall and virus scanner each update is a different application. so, just because the previous worked does not mean they allow the new version automatically.

I am pretty sure this is related to your firewall, virus scanner or other protection software.
There are no major changes compared to the previous update.

I updated the 15.0.6 to the 15.0.7. Before that, all was working well. Since that, even the 32bit version, which I installed now, does not work. I added it into Defender and deactivated the McAfee firewall, nothing works.

Sorry, I need it working. We are presenting at an exhibition and have still work to do. We invested 5 digit Euro amount. please ... I need to get it work

I'm sorry, but there is nothing I can do if your firewall or virus scanner blocks the application.
As you can see, it works for all other users.

Note that in most cases deactivating the firewall will not help. You will need allow the software to run on your computer.

Maybe you can try another computer to make sure this is not something on your computer?

Also, if the problem was related to the software then Windows should at least display an error message.
Without an error it will be difficult to known if anything is wrong.

It only works, if I switch into "Administrator". Where can remove the program completely? It seems to keep some fragments somewhere.
it does not even get me to the point to reenter my registration key

but it was running the day before. this only happens after updating from 15.0.6 to 15.0.7

Version 15.0.7 is just a minor update.

I'm sorry but this does not give me any useful information.

Maybe you have installed the software used different user credentials?
Does version 15.0.6 still work?

I understand your frustration, but slow down a second, If you are able to re-load version 15.0.6 and use it, then that is good, and certainly the issue is not 'urgent'. At least you can do your site modifications with the 'older' version.

You can try the following, as I had a simlar issue with one of the 14 versions (can't remember exactly which sub version). I downloaded the version 14 update several times, and yet the system would crash with each attempt. But going back one sub version worked.

Eventually, I downloaded the new version using a second computer (it can be anybody's), and unzipped all the files using the second PC. Once unzipped, I copied the files to a USB memory stick and loaded all the files to my 'workstation' PC. Mysteriously, it worked fine from that point on. Was it a corrupt download, or faulty 'unzipping', I'll never know. I'm just happy that the issue was resolved, and moved on.

If you don't have a second PC, go to a friend's house, or use one at work. You don't need another license to simply download the files. Unpack the files, and bring them home on a USB stick. This will get around any weird Defender rules, or other Firewall issues which all seem 'normal' at this stage.

I am sorry to say, I am having the same problem. I tried downloading the file from a different computer like you stated, but am still not able to run the program. Version 15.0.6 64 bit worked just fine. I even disabled the virus software with no luck. Any suggestions?

I have changed the build date in the application, so it now has a different signature.

Did you redownload it after my modification?
Did you give the software permission in your firewall/virusscanner/ransomware protection?

Yes, I just downloaded the version dated Sept 5 and tried again. The firewall and virus apps are set to give the WebBuilder.exe permission to run and excluded the directories from the virus app.

Maybe you can try this?

Before starting the application, rename:
"Documents\WYSIWYG Web Builder"
to
"Documents\WYSIWYG Web Builder backup"

I tried something else. I logged into the laptop with my credentials for the local machine and I was able to run the program and use the file for the web-site which was located on the network using my network credentials. I can change the file and upload it to the web. My network login name has administrator rights to my laptop. Any ideas of why that might be happening?

I still think this this is related to permissions.
Either your firewall/virusscanner/ransomware protection (in Windows 10) is blocking the software or Windows does not allow it to access your files.
For example, because it was installed with different credentials.

Again I would like to note that nothing major has changed in the software. The software does not (and never did) do anything with permissions.
