Search for URL

Post by pacstar »

Pablo,

Is there a way to do a search for a link URL. For an example, I have several pages that have a URL link to an external address. Is there a way to do a search that will bring up every page I have used that URL on? That way I can be sure that I haven't missed changing one.

OR... Is there a way to do an Entire Site "find/replace" for a URL link?

Thanks

EDIT:

Pablo, it can ALMOST be done via "Verify Links"

Correct, you can use a "Verify Links" for this.

Pablo,

But there's no way to do a "search" for a URL within "Verify Links" to find the link I am looking for.

If I could alphabetize the "Link to" column, I could at least to it manually. But clicking on the header does not organize the column. When I click on the header, the up or down arrows appear, but nothing changes if I click on them. ?????

Is it possible to add that to a future update? And add a "Search For" button in the "Verify Link" window?

A search/filter option in Verify Links is planned for a future version.

Pablo,

OK, the ability is already there in "Global Replace". I just did it and it worked.

It would be nice if Global Replace had a Global "Find" option. In this case it wasn't an issue because I wanted to replace all of them anyway. BUT if there was a circumstance where only certain pages needed to be changed, "Global Find" would facilitate that.

Thanks again.
