menu color

Post by crownfield »

I want a dark blue menu button with light blue type, and chose it.
(navigation bar, in a master page with logo and black background)

I said hover color is green.
I said hover color for current page.
I published every single file.

problem:
current page not highlighted in browser color
other than that,

(in opera it is ok)
(in firefox, it is ok.)
(in torch it is ok)
(in avast it is ok)

( vivaldi browser had strange problems,
menu on home page vertical, not horizontal))

When you use a menu on a master page then the 'active' color will not work. Because there is only one menu (with the same images), shared by multiple pages.
Note that this is documented in the help.

it does seem that the logical place for a menu is on the master page,
so that the menu is consistent for all the pages which it masters.

could that be an improved feature?

It is, but as you are using 'active' in the menu then there is only ever one instance of the menu and that applies to the 'Master Page' only. So when used on other page(s) it is only the `Master Page' that shows.... its 'active'. Note that this has been brought up many times before and the answer(s) are always the same..

The purpose of a master page is to reuse the objects from another page. These elements will be exactly the same for each page.
There is only 1 menu, so it cannot have a different state in different pages. The same images will be used for all pages. So the 'active' image is the same image for each page.
could that be an improved feature?
No, it cannot be 'improved' because it works correct.
