Hello everyone
I hope someone could kindly assist please, I'm using wsb14 and have just modified one of my web pages, (removed a couple of links and added a couple to replace and publish is failing.
I can't find any problem in problem in program and when previewing in browser all is fine.
Here are a couple of grabs of publish pane in the hope you can learn anything from them.
If anyone can help I'd be most grateful, as I've said so many times my ability to understand the technical side of this is very very limited.

Re: Publish problems
Firstly, why are you using PORT mode?
Normally, passive mode is active (by default) to prevent issues with firewalls.
Also, it looks like the image file names are invalid. This may cause problem with some servers.

Re: Publish problems
Thank you for reply, however I'm not understanding "using port mode" as far as I'm concerned that must be what I've always used?
Please suggest what to do (in mega simple terms).
Could you point out which file names are invalid, I see there is one 'png' in there but can't find what it is at moment, as far as I'm concerned I've used jpg's all the time.

Re: Publish problems
In the publish settings enable 'passive mode'
In Page->Error Reports you should see an overview of all invalid image names.

Re: Publish problems
Thank you again I have looked at the error log and it claims 25 invalid file names! I'm struggling to understand as this page was working fine for years then suddenly two thumbnails (although still fine on website), in wsb were displaying "image not found".
These were the only two I replaced (the two "bushed pecker" thumbnails) and touched nothing else.
Also when I look at the files it claims are invalid, some of them have no invalid characters in, my whole website is built the same way and all others are working fine.

Re: Publish problems
Maybe your webhost has changed something so it no longer support these filenames?
Re: Publish problems
Hi
It doesn't seem to be file names! I have created another web page using all usual methods and it's working fine, however if I change so much as a single piece of text in existing pages if fails.

Re: Publish problems
Maybe the files on the server are read-only, so the cannot be overwritten?
Or maybe the server space is full?
