Reccomended CMS

Post by onlye »

I am continuing the migration away from my current web building tools to WWB. I need the ability for my customers to easily edit text, images and news on their websites. I read Pablo's info on Cushy CMS and surreal cms and took a quick look at their websites.

Does anyone use either of these (or others) that can provide recommendations?

thanks,
eric

I think it is your personal preference and probably you should also take the costs into account.

Alternatively, you can check out these solutions:

Eric;

I have tried CushyCMS and it works fine with WWB however, there is a lot of work and also if you are using 3rd Party extensions, then you have to take into consideration that they may not have been designed with CMS in mind. Currently not an easy task.

Zinc - I am just getting into layout grids and rumor has it Cushy CMS is easier to use if used in conjunction with a layout grid. Can you comment? Just wanting to know a bit more of what I am getting into before committing to it. Thank you in advance.

I never and have never used LG. Don't know why I never got into it but CushyCMS gives you a FREE account which means you can try it without a lot of limitations.

The client has to do a fair bit of work. They seem to think they can do anything which is not the case at all. Also if you are using 3rd party extensions, they also need to be "CMS-Aware" which is not simple if you just want to rely on WWB to build a sizable site with all the bells & whistles.

Hope this helps.
