3rd part scripts

Post by Lasa » Sat Oct 06, 2018 3:21 pm

Hi I'm NEW to WB.
So far I really like the software very much, tons of included bells and whistles. I have purchased in the past some slider scripts off codecanyon and love them. I'm having trouble understanding how to use the slider in WB since it needs/uses a ton of folders.
I imagine I add the header and body items through <html> tab or not. But were do I put the gazillion folders.
I've looked around for sometime now but haven't found how to do it.
I understand that any 3rd party script is not supported in help, but I'm hoping to learn where to put things for the scripts to work and then I am on my own.

Thanks,

Yes that is what I was looking for...
regarding:
"Include external files
Sometimes you may need to include external files to the added custom code. For example, external script libraries (*.js) or style sheets (*.css).
You can attach those files to the page with the File Publisher object.
The File Publisher object will be published all selected files together with the current page."

Sorry, I have looked all over for a "File Publisher"...?
Cheers,

Is it the asset manager the root tree... can't find File Publisher tab?
I see insert external files. if I make a folder I can bring in the files. :D is this correct?
Is there a way to bring in folder that include files since some of these scripts have a tone of folders?

Cheers,

Lasa

The 'File Publisher' object is in the Miscellaneous section of the toolbox or else you can use the Insert menu.

- drag/drop the File Publisher object to the page
- Double click the object to add files.

I am also new to this forum however been using Wysiwyg for a few years now, I am not good at tech stuff however I have a Radio station and want to put a script on my page to take users to the station however the script won't work on the page, yes it does work but not on the page, any ideas please.

This is the script,

<iframe title='Flash Player' src='//samcloudmedia.spacial.com/webwidgets/player/v4/300x160.html?sid=98565&rid=174728&startstation=false&theme=light&showBuyButton=always&token=26764fa31e42b3221f872b00d763a50b964fc545'width='300'
height='160'
scrolling='no'
frameborder='0'
marginheight='0'
marginwidth='0'
allowtransparency='true'>
<p>Your browser does not support iframes.
<a href='//samcloudmedia.spacial.com/webwidgets/player/v4/300x160.html?sid=98565&rid=174728&startstation=false&theme=light&showBuyButton=always&token=26764fa31e42b3221f872b00d763a50b964fc545'>
View the content of this inline frame</a> with your browser</p>
</iframe>

I think it does not work because the http prefix is missing.
In that case it will only work online.

Code: Select all

http://samcloudmedia.spacial.com/webwidgets/player/v4/300x160.html?sid=98565&rid=174728&startstation=false&theme=light&showBuyButton=always&token=26764fa31e42b3221f872b00d763a50b964fc545
Also, it may be easier to use the built-in inline frame instead.

Just as Pablo the http prefix is missing, but I also note that the code used is to a widget that uses flash. Due to it using Flash it is most likely that it will not render in most if not all modern browsers as it is no longer supported by them including all Apple and Android. Note this unrelated to the program but no support by as mentioned modern browsers.
