Creating a Blog

Post by alex4orly » Sat May 19, 2018 11:06 pm

I want to create a Blog page for one of my websites and I was looking at this tool that we are all using here on WWB
Powered by phpBB® Forum Software ... But reading their website page, it seems it maybe too much / too complex and an overkill for me.

I want members of a social club (ProBus) to be able to ask questions and have other members answer, all under a Login / Password control

Any suggestions / examples?

Thanks

Hi BaconFries

Thanks for the prompt feedback. I looked at this extension B4 posting the query and have a few questions:
1) Is the php script generating the SQL statements or do I need to manually code anything?
2) If I want HTML instead of plain text, does it change your answer to question 1?
3) I don't want to be the Administrator for the Blog, let the User group Admin do it, but can I still oversee the blog?
4) Is there a site using this extension that I can have a look at?

Cheers

You will have to setup the database manually.
If I want HTML instead of plain text, does it change your answer to question 1?
The extension only supports plain text
I don't want to be the Administrator for the Blog, let the User group Admin do it, but can I still oversee the blog?
This is just a basic blog. If you need more advanced features then you need to use a third party script.
Is there a site using this extension that I can have a look at?
No, not that I am aware of.
