Page Footer not working on master page

Post by Little Owl » Sun Apr 22, 2018 8:24 am

Hi,

Any reason a page footer object doesn't work on a master page?

I have a master page for my footer content but it will allow me to also have a footer object on the master page but when I view the footer in the web page using that master it says 'invalid use of footer object'.

A master object is a container, to duplicate the objects from another page. This container has a fixed size. The content of the master page cannot get wider than the size of the master object (because they are embedded within the container).
Therefor it is not useful to place a header or footer on it, because it cannot be full width.

However, you can use headers and footers on a master frame.
