Publish Not The same as Preview

Post by 360webfirm » Thu Mar 15, 2018 12:38 am

Hello all you fine people.

I have a question.

What would cause the website to look perfect in Preview, but not in Live mode via domain name?

I have two layout grids not showing up and a form that is all messed up. I have the page set to .php. My server runs programs like this with no issues, so its not the hosting. In preview, looks perfect. When going to live site after uploading, looks bad towards those elements missing. Form comes out, but fonts bad and fields not showing any CSS.

I have also cleared out everything on hosting and uploaded a fresh copy of files, still same thing.

My live site - https://canadawebservice.ca/html5/360webfirm/index.php

There is the contact element above and below form that does not even show. I took these from the Blue Monday template. Just copied and pasted just for testing.

Thanks,

Steve

It seems to work correct for me.
However the issue may be related to the name of your project.
A file name should not start with a number.
The name of the project also specifies the name of the global style sheet.

OK I see the issue, well half way. It works on all browsers except for Chrome. Weird, as it shows fine in Chrome Preview.

Did you try to change the name of the project?

Or maybe you have an adblocker add-on installed in Chrome which effects the HTML of the page?

Wow, I just also realized that the horizontal bar is there and the website scrolls so much to the right. Just when I thought it was all good :(

@360webfirm I was just about to bring this to your attention. A present viewing on Mobile/Cell at hand (Note3) and very noticeable scroll with Firefox, Chrome and Samsung browser. This generally means that there is a object(s) outside the viewport.
See the following:
There is a large is empty space at the bottom (or right side) of my page.
Responsive Web Design FAQ
It is also could be related to events used.
When using events, the visibility is affected by breakpoints.

I took the form from the template and it has the fields going outside when scrolling. This is what is outside of viewport. Any way to fix this?

Just removed the CSS3 animation, and also changed names as you request and all is once again good with the world.

Still have to set up on break points, but main screen size works good now. https://thecheapwebsites.com/
