Creating a HTML email / form

Post by alex4orly » Sat Dec 30, 2017 10:37 pm

Yes, I read the HELP page on the topic and think I followed it, but

Please check this link : http://www.beleuramyhome.org.au/goingaway.html
I made the page with a couple of layout grids, inside a master frome
Scroll down, the master frame showing twice for some reason
I have NOT yet implemented the form, trying to first get over this hurdle

Hope someone can help, an example of someone who did that will be helpful

Cheers

Layout grids and master pages cannot be used in a 'HTML email'.
Email applications only support basic HTML and very limited CSS.
Basically only images and basic text formatting will work in most email applications.

My problem is that it seems not being responsive just on a normal page.

Please check this : http://www.beleuramyhome.org.au/goingawayform.php

What can I do instead?

HTML emails are not responsive.
An email application is not a browser (for security reasons) so all 'dynamic' content will be disabled.

OK, so how do I create the email engine - to actually SEND the information on the screen I designed
The "Email" is in my case information the visitor to the site has to fill into a form and click "Submit"
So, I wanted to FORMAT this message to make it into a nice looking email

Can I ?

Happy new 2018 from Melbourne, Australia

I don't think the email engine can sent the form. The form needs to be processed by a script (usually on a server).

I understand and use for a long time the "FORM" object,
I am investigating her how to beautify the resulting send email to th erecipient
So, let's go to the start - if say I wanted to send a Newsletter, using "Create a Newsletter" - how do I execute the actual sending from WB?

You cannot send emails from WWB.
The purpose of this article in the help is to explain that 'HTML emails' need to be as plain as possible. No scripts, CSS or other dynamic code.
