PhP Files Saving as PDF Files

Post by Aussie Gaz » Thu Dec 28, 2017 4:59 am

Hi Have used WYIWYG for 10 years or more and have not had to ask a question until now.

Everytime I try to preview a php file por publish it, its saved as a PHP file and just will not open. I downloaded 12 today thinking there may be a problem with the software but the same thing is happening.

help please ASAP :)

First of all you cannot preview php locally it must be uploaded to your host server. If the files are being saved as a PDF then this has nothing to do with the programme as it is more likely to be a user configuration issue with another program or software you have installed or your PC or Laptop.

What to do when preview doesn't work with your default browser?
Some users have accidently assigned the wrong application to the HTML file type (this includes php). In that case Windows will display the HTML page in another application. Follow these steps to correct this:

The application will never save PHP as PDF. However your computer may be configured to open PHP with a PDF reader, because browsers do not support PHP unless they are on a web server.
Note that this is unrelated to WWB.
