I have just been asked to build a website for a cycle speedway team - but they need to edit it on a weekly basis entering racing results and fixture changes. Is this possible without having the actual WYSIWIG software, I will pass on this one if so because I don't have the time to teach the several users how to do it.

just embed a Google doc into a page and they can edit that.

or they upload a pdf to a specified folder.

Pablo's suggestions on this task are tooooo complicated for me. I had a sort of success with the google doc option above by Patr100 but nomatter how I tried only a quarter of the page image created in google docs was displayed ??? So, what I have decided is to edit the page myself, bit of a pain as they will have to email me results weekly and I update the info on the fixtures page - however I would like to put all teams and results in a table, is it possible to enter text in a table rather like word or excel?

You can use Onedrive to display Excel files, you need only to update on the drive every week the document and it will be displayed on your site. After you upload the xls just copy paste the embed code.

How about a separate website with one of the easybuild facilities (i.e ******) which could be set up and be very easy for them to learn/use just for updates.

Then display within i-frame on the main site ?

Sugestion: for your table use excel and then save it in csv format and then use the Dataviewer extension or the csv list extension. with the DBTS csv list and others dbts extension there is also the posibilities to make change online.

But the easy way is to use excel then export the info on csv file and use the dataviewer.

Dont use Google's embed code it wont display properly , use their File "publish to the web" link, ending in /pub (not the embed link)
and place it in an inline frame resized as required on your WB site page.
This works as I have done it before.

Use a GoogleSheet for an excel like table
