Why doesn't this work

Post by pka4916 » Wed Mar 14, 2018 2:50 am

I can't seem to figure out why this is not working.
I had my page first as default (900) and changed it to 1920 and moved things around.

Then I added a few break points , and I cannot figure out why those images for Utube, FB, Twitter etc are not working properly.
if my screen is maxed it's on the right, which is good, but when i have it like halfway it's in the middle, and not to the right, while
it should be according to the breakpoints.

what am i doing wrong here?

First note that the default view should be the largest view, so you will need to remove the 1920 breakpoint. It does not have any use.
Besides that, everything seems to working correct.
Although it would probably be easier if you also used a layer grid for the easier, then you do not need breakpoints (for the current layout).

Thanks, let me try that.

I did had it with a 1920 breakpoint before, and did not work in Chrome.. (My chrome did update last night as well)
maybe something changed.
I will look into it when I get home.

Thank you

Maybe I am misunderstanding it, but the icons still end up in the middle for me.
(the center text for the bottom works)

Here are 2 images.

Also, when I double click on the layout grid, and change the item circled to Right, it does move to the right, but when I bring it back up
it's back to the left.

ok figure out the icons problem.

the Page break of 800 is messing things up for full screen
I removed it and made a 768 one, and now it's working without making changes.

for fun, I added the 800 back in, and then things are messed up again.. sounds like a bug maybe????

The layout grid can have different settings for each breakpoint.
So, the 800 breakpoint probably has different settings than the default view.

I agree with breakpoint 800, but when i make if fullscreen shouldn't it grab the default 1920 ?
but even the 800 fails when I have the icons to the right.

If I put 768 in place, and set the icons just like the 800, and remove 800 then it works just fine.
you can try that with the why.rar file

is 800 maybe not a standard number for browsers (if that has anything to do with it)

That depends on the width of the viewport. Your screen may be 1920, but the browser's viewport is usually smaller than the screen.
The 1920 breakpoint will be visible in viewports wider than 1920. The 800 breakpoint will be activated at 1920 and lower (depending on your settings).
