Hi Pablo :)

Do you know if I can use the Anti Spam Honey Pot technique in conjuction with the Login Tools > Signup Object?

Or will the database have a meltdown?

Honey Pot: Place an edit box into the form, give it an enticing name, hide it from humans, if its filled in its a spam bot.

can not really test this as I have no SPam Bots :D

Cheers
BB

It may work, but the code to ignore the honey pot input needs to be implemented by yourself. There is no standard option for this.

@bburgess
hi, it is not as simple as it seems and nowadays it is easily fooled by bots
as i am not so known (lol) my proprietary method (based on honeypot variants and other techniques as well) stopped 100% the bot-based spams (my forms were attacked by 600 hacking attempts per hour during 3 days at different time-frames)
perhaps you may want to take a look at this: viewtopic.php?f=53&t=59001
it works both visually and silently behind the scenes
