Edit Profile object

Post by alex4orly »

I created a login system using the WWB objects.
Converted the Edit Profile object to a form
Now, I am trying to add an input field (checkbox) to the form, but it seems the only way is to edit the HTML page manually, which I don't like...

Is there another way?

Did you ask the same question a couple of days ago?
I have been sending you dozens of emails about this to help you :?

But anyway in the mean time in version 12.0.2, the checkbox will be automatically converted.

I think his question is:

Is it possible to add a checkbox filed to an edit profile object which is already converted to form? Or should we manually edit the converted form script to accept newly added checkbox field?

No, this is not the answer.
What i wrote there is only applicable to input fields that were created in the object itself before being converted to a form.
I have it now as a form and wish to add another field, but other then adding the field in html section, it does nothing in the php code like the databade functionality.
So?

If you add another field after the conversion then you will also need to update the script. of course this cannot be automated, this can only be done manually.

OK, Thanks

I will start it again and let it be converted, I prefer that better than editing the code and risking it being overwritten

Hello Alex,

Did you manage to add a check box to your login form? I have been trying to do just that this afternoon but, so far, without success.

It's taken a while for me to get back to this as I've been rather busy with other things.

Thanks for the response, I visited the site but I couldn't see any login form, nor the checkbox you mentioned.

I have WB12 though I note it is now up to 14.

Regards, Peter
