CSS Stacked Images (free)

Post by Adendum » Mon Oct 17, 2011 6:32 pm

The Stacked Images extension is now available from the main extension site - here and also from my extension demo site. The help file is also available online from the same page.

This extension is based on Stu Nicholl's CSS Stacked Slideshow using just CSS3. Works fully in all browsers supporting CSS3 and provides a simple slideshow that is animated in Safari, Chrome, Opera and Firefox. Just click the top image to see the next image in the stack. When you get to the last image the slideshow starts again with the first image.

PLEASE READ THE HELP FILE BEFORE REQUESTING SUPPORT.

Beautiful work.
Glad to see that you are a fan of Mr Nicholls.
I admire the work he has done in menus, it's fascinating.

Nice!
Is it possible to adjust this extension so you can add more images (up to 20) and potentially change sizes?

MINOR UPDATE: CSS Stacked Images (free)

Post by Adendum » Mon Nov 07, 2011 7:19 pm

kier wrote:....Shame it only works with a white background.
Not anymore :)

I have just uploaded version 1.0.0.1 that had an added property to control the background colour so the extension will work on pages with other than white backgrounds.

Available from both locations.

You're lucky day huh! ;)

UPDATED: CSS Stacked Images (free)

Post by Adendum » Fri Nov 11, 2011 8:08 am

10/11/11 : Having only realised I could do this yesterday (doh!) I have modified this extension (and all my extensions - see list below) so that the live rendering of the extension in design view is greatly improved. In many cases the design view will take on a background colour you set in the extension properties.

Updates available from the WWB extensions site and my own demo site. Remember to check out the extensions listed below.

Anything Slider
Automated ToolTip
Directory Listing
Elastic Thumbnail Menu
Image Information Panels
Image Swap Menu
Kick-Butt-Mega-Menu
Orbit Slider
Photo Info
Simple Horizontal Accordion
Slide Down Box Menu
tab Slide Out

What am I missing? The extension is installed but it's not showing in my list on the left . . . how do I choose it to add to page? Thanks!

Volfan,

No idea. Sounds like a question for Pablo.

Ok a couple of questions that always get asked...are you using a legal version of the software? have you tried to use a illegal version in the past?? if you have tried to use a illegal version before purchase, then this will explain why you cannot install extensions, if this is the case, then you will need to contact support, when doing so you will need to provide proof of purchase this is the email that you will have recieved with your serial.... on another note if you are using a legal version ans still havent inserted you details please do so or you will not be able to use the extensions...

Ty Adendum, I'll contact the support of the person that made it.

BackonFries . . . (1) yes, using purchased version 8.02; (2) no. It says it installs (have done it through extension manager & manually per pdf file in download zip), I see the files in system/extensions . . . but there's nothing showing w/in wysiwyg program that it is installed (in the list of elements to use on page). I have not exceeded the limit of extensions you can install. I noticed last night when checking system/extensions folder there may be some more that aren't showing up - for example, before/after; there are some that show up though - simple menu and I forget right now the other two or three and a few I've uninstalled. Maybe it's hit 'n miss on some of them.

I am the person that created the extension! I meant that it sounds like you need support from Pablo - the genius that wrote the code for WWB.

As BaconFries mentioned, this kind of problem is usually related to a problem with an illegal version of WWB or similar issue, so I can't help you as [a] I have the same extension installed in WWB7 and WWB8 with no issue and so far no other users of the extension have had this problem.

There are posts in the forum on similar issues but from what I can see these all seem to be because the user has had or is using illegal software. Only Pablo can fix that via a remote connection to your PC - assuming you have a proper licence.
